HMAS ''Orara'' (J130) was a 1,297-ton anti-submarine and depot ship of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) during World War II. ''Orara'' was built in 1907 by Scott of Kinghorn, Kinghorn as a cargo passenger steam ship for the North Coast Steam Navigation Company.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 accessdate = 8 February 2012 )〕 She plied the Clarence River to Sydney run. At the start of World War II, ''Orara'' was requisitioned in September 1939 and was commissioned on 9 October into the RAN as an auxiliary minesweeper vessel. ''Orara'' was part of the 20th Minesweeping Flotilla. ''Orara'' was returned to owners in 1946 and was laid up in Sydney. She was sold in 1947 and was renamed ''Pearl River'' in 1948 based at Shanghai.
